Samsung have smashed previous handset sales records this year by amassing the 300 million handset mark for the first time.
Although plagued by ongoing litigation battles with Apple, it appears that sales for the South Korean conglomerate haven’t been affected. Additionly, Samsung have the release of the highly popular Galaxy S II handset to thank for its impressive record breaking success.
The other contributing factor for the high turnover of mobile phones is that many of the world’s top telecommunication and wireless carriers are Samsung handset stockers whereas Apple have considerably less. This is not to mention the continuing emergence and popularity of Android operating systems which figure prominently on Samsung handsets.
